The Mobile-Based Home Security SystemArticle Posted by Expert Author: Emma Prior on 09/27/2013
Most traditional home security systems operate via a land-line phone. If a break-in is detected, law enforcement is notified by a call from the homeowner's telephone. But what happens to this kind of system if a burglar manages to find and cut the phone line. What happens is that a home security system can rendered completely useless. All it takes is for the person breaking into your home to disable any audible alarms that may sound from the control panel, and they can take as long as they want to rob you of everything you worked so hard for.
Today's security systems are able to be run from our cell phones, laptops or tablets. These mobile-based systems allow homeowners to control all of the features of the system from one device. In addition, many companies allow homeowners to view what's happening inside and outside of their home with a live streaming video feed.
